A Letter from Hugh Miller

Dear Martin,

What a delight. Nearly an hour ago I opened the packet containing the copies of Professional Presentations. I slid one out, and I've only now put it down to e-mail you.

If only Al could have laid eyes on this sheer elevation of the book. The very feel of it is sumptuous. For a magic book, the layout is as clean and inviting as any I've seen, with the illustrations (superb, by the way) elegantly placed to make everything crystal clear. I've re-read most of the text already and I tell you sincerely, if I were a magician holding this edition and skimming the material for the first time, I'd get the old tingly tip-off that I was handling gold. A fine production, Martin, and although you've been through a few circles of hell with the printers and binders, I hope you're glad you pressed on with the project.

I'm grateful for the copies, and I'll treasure them. Many, many thanks.
