Years ago I found a treasure; a man who could work with wood so well that he was an artist.  He has gone into semi-retirement now and I have had to take the ads off my website as every single item sold out and now can not be replaced!

I never thought that I would again see magic made so wonderfully but around the corner there is often someone else waiting for their break.  Tony Curtis and his team of craftsmen have filled the gap with wonderful wooden items.

This effect uses an ornate wooden block which is attached and suspended on two cords and shown to the audience. The block is placed inside a small cabinet which is then closed and the cords tied around it. The performer now pulls the cords free, penetrating both the wooden block and cabinet.

We ordered this item twice in error  and one of the boxes went into storage and was forgotten.  We have sold a number of this trick already and Tony Curtis  told me that I could reduce the price now if I wanted and we have done just that.    At any price, as far as I am concerned the Chiang Mai Block is a bargain.   In a few year’s time I predict that this effect and many of the other wonderful Tony Curtis items will be fetching really high prices in auction!
