From the Brilliant and Creative Mind of Dominic Twose Comes THE DEVIL'S OWN OIL AND WATER
Low Resolution (3mb) - Click HERE Higher Resolution (7mb) - Click HERE
Requires Windows Media Player The Devil's Own...it's quite a title....but, well, when I saw it; it looked just like oil and water was always meant to look. He was in the dark corner of the seediest pub I had ever visited. He hadn't shaved for days, and he hadn't washed for about as long, I figured. He was drinking absinthe like his life depended on it. I didn't like him, and I don't think he liked me. He showed me four red cards, four black cards. He mixed them. Fairly, slowly, cleanly. Then he turned them over, and they'd separated. Red on top, black on the bottom. He had filthy hands; grime under his fingernails from who knows what. But the cards just...separated. He drained his absinthe and did it again. And, after I'd promised him a refill, and other sundry items, he did it again, with just four of the damn cards. I was watching him as closely as you are reading these words; I grabbed for the cards, but could see nothing....I looked up, and he was laughing in my face, like...well, like a demon. The Devil's Own; it won't cost you your soul, but it may look that way....supplied with everything you need with the exception of Brimstone and Treacle! Exceptionally easy to perform as well. |

It's Pizza Time! Here is a stunning cabaret, close up or stage effect which is fast gaining Max Gordon who lives in Scotland a fantastic reputation. When I heard about this effect I did all that I could to get the exclusive dealer rights and after a lot of wrist-twisting and various other fiendish persuasion techniques I was able to win the battle. I have but twelve sets at the moment and there is a chance that more could become available. This is what it is all about: A spectator is chosen (totally at random) and is handed a take-away menu from a Pizza Delivery Company. “In your mind, please make your choice from the menu and think about what time you would like it delivered during this show. (time chosen to be within the performance duration) ideally between experiments that are to follow. The spectator is then asked to stand up and shout, “It’s Pizza Time” when the time he has in his mind has arrived. (Comedy opportunity here for rehearsal are brilliant.) When the time arrives and the spectator stands up and calls out that it is Pizza Time, the performer then provides a quick re-cap of what has taken place so far. “You Sir were chosen at random. We have not met nor spoken prior to the show, is that correct? I asked you to mentally select a Pizza topping and the exact time when it should be delivered. Is that correct?" (Yes). For the first time, please confirm at what time you stood up. What kind of Pizza did you choose?" (Let's say he chose Ham and Pineapple).
The performer now
hands a delivery note (that has been on the
table all evening) to the spectator who is asked
to read out exactly what is written on top of
the delivery note: "My name. address and post
code" says the spectator”. "Ham and Pineapple" confirms the spectator. And what did you actually choose and the spectator replies that he actually chose Ham and Pineapple.. "So I have correctly predicted who would choose which Pizza and the delivery address!. Guess what I have here," asks the performer holding what appears to be a square box covered by a large napkin*. Everyone will of course assume it is a real pizza in the box. "For various reasons It would be impractical for me to have brought along a real pizza, but just to prove I knew exactly when you would want your pizza delivered, I brought this along”.
As a consolation for not getting a real Pizza, the spectator gets to keep the clock with the performer's compliments. The clock is not faked in any way and the performer does not have to set the clock manually as it is lifted out of the box. If you wish as the clock is not faked at all it can be given away. Replacement kitchen clocks can be obtained from the £1 shops in most towns and although the shops are described as £1 shops it could cost about £2 maximum. A small electronic gizmo does the dirty work and the rest is explained in the instructions. Everything needed is supplied except one minor item that is in the pocket of most mentalists and which can be obtained from your favourite magic dealer. The impact on the audience is quite amazing. I bet Graham Jolley places his order for Pizza Time. |

The
Phantom of the Wallet
Watch
Video - requires Real Player I found a fabulous wallet a short while ago. It is made in fine lined leather and features a zippered compartment. I asked Peter Duffie to create a special effect using the wallet and he has come up with something brilliant. Everything except a standard poker-sized deck is supplied. This is the effect and the first time I saw it fooled me: A spectator selects a card, signs his name on it, after which the card is lost back in the deck. He is shown two blank cards. These, you state, are special printing plates that only spirits can write upon. The printing plates are placed inside the leather wallet. After a moment, the spectator removes the plates from the wallet and is amazed to discover the name of his card written on both printing plates. A great trick! But there’s more. The performer now calls upon the spirits to teleport the signed card from the pack, across the ether and into the wallet. The zippered compartment in the wallet is slowly opened and the spectator removes the contents – it’s his signed selection! A fantastic trick! No palming or other difficult sleights. |

Dazed! Peter Duffie Watch a video demo HERE Two cards (can be selected from your deck) are placed face up on the table. You now show four misprinted cards that have backs on both sides – except for one, which has a back and blank face. “I’ll put this aside for now as this can be a rather dangerous card...I‘ll explain later,” you say. This leaves you with three cards – backs both sides, which you show once more. You now add the first selection to the packet and suddenly all the cards print with faces of the selection! You repeat this with the second selection to cause all the cards to print to duplicates of this card! Finally you pick up the “dangerous card” with the blank face. “This,” you state, “is an eraser!” You now prove this to be so because, suddenly, all the cards turn blank! EASY TO DO! |

The Unsaid Peter Duffie A packet of 8 cards is shown (there are no extra cards used—only eight), first the backs are shown one by one, then the faces are shown one by one. The packet is divided into two and a card is selected from one pile which—you state—will act as a Psychic Communicator. A spectator takes the remaining pile—shuffles it—remembers any card, then shuffles again—combines both piles then shuffles all together. He never tells you the name of the card. You now ask the Psychic Communicator to help you to divine the card in the spectator’s mind. Despite the seeming impossible conditions, you instantly succeed, without a single word being said by the spectator. Finally you say, “You may not believe that this playing card really spoke to me? Well….some things are better left UNSAID.” At this, you turn the card face down revealing the name of the selection written on the back! You may hand this out as a keepsake.

Pronto-Print Peter Duffie A card is selected from your deck and placed face down on the table. You now show four cards that are clearly blank on all sides. These are placed on the table and the spectator places his hand flat on top. You wave the selection over his hand – he then lifts his hand – the packet is spread and a duplicate of his card has mysteriously appeared in the middle of the four blanks. But the image doesn’t last long and suddenly disappears leaving a totally blank card. Finally you drop the selected card onto the packet – again the spectator places his hand flat on top. This time, when he lifts his hand, all the cards have printed faces to match his selection! Everything Can be Examined!

Pyro
Perception Effect: You walk up to a group of people with a deck of cards and a burning confidence in your ability to utterly amaze them with powers they have never imagined possible. Anyone removes a card from the deck and conceals it. A lighter is ignited as you thrust your thumb and forefinger into the fire. Reality melts into rising tension as you slowly withdraw your finger tips from the flame. Turning that hand toward the onlookers, they are stunned to see two distinct blisters. Even more shocking is the fact that they are in the shape of the chosen card! A fantastic and easy to perform miracle by Brent Walske. Includes: High quality gimmick, basic handling and instructions. Here are some quotes: "The only
thing I didn't like about this effect is that I didn't
think of it myself." - Loren Christopher Michaels

Dead
Reckoning: Peter Duffie A Magic Effect that KILLS! Two
spectators each choose a card from your deck. You explain that you will
conduct a psychic TEST. At that, you show 4 large plastic-coated cards
with letters printed on them. One side clearly spells the word TEST. For
the test, you say, you will also call upon your invisible assistant from
the spirit world. Of course, being from the spirit world, she must be
DEAD. So said, you turn the cards over and show that the other side of
the cards clearly spells the word DEAD. You place two cards on one
spectator’s palm, and the the remaining two cards on the other
spectator’s palm. When the cards are separated, mysterious writing is
seen to have replaced the letters – the names of both selections are
now written on the cards! Everything can be examined. VERY
EASY TO DO! |

Diablo Try to Keep
the Truth Unseen A card is selected from any deck - say the QC. You introduce an Occult Board - a plastic laminated card with 16 squares printed on it. In each square is printed a word, either, 'YES' or 'NO.' A second board is laid on the table - this simply contains a list of questions that you will ask. The underside of each board is seen to be covered in question-marks - this is merely design, though an appropriate one - because you now ask the spectator a series of questions about his card. To each question, he can LIE or tell the TRUTH, while moving over the Occult Board in any direction. No matter how he answers, the Occult Board exposes the truth (YES or NO) every time. Finally, the board is turned over and in place of the question-marks seen earlier, mysterious writing has now appeared revealing the full name of the chosen card - "Queen of Clubs." NO

The
Amazing Hills Envelope John Hills This is the brainchild of John Hills of Plymouth who is a good friend and has been one of our regular clients for at least twenty years. John was inspired by the Sensor Envelope and wondered if the same effect could be achieved by using a differently produced envelope. We checked with Max Maven who believes that this method may have appeared in print many years ago but it has never been commercially produced. This is a first for John Hill and Martin Breese International. This is What Happens: In essence the performer slides a small envelope across the table and asks the spectator to confirm that the envelope is opaque and secure. The spectator will also agree that anything sealed within the envelope would remain unseen. The spectator is bound to agree once he has checked the envelope. He is next asked to select a card freely from a spread of face-down playing cards on the table. Once selected the name of the card is written down for later verification and sealed in the envelope. The envelope is passed back to the magician who then seals it into a larger envelope and passes the two-envelope package back to the spectator for his safe keeping. The pack of cards can now be shuffled. It is spread face up by the magician. The magician writes the name of a card on a slip of paper and it is passed face down to another spectator. The first spectator returns the sealed envelope package to the magician and it is ripped open and the inner envelope is also opened and the card bearing the name of the card in the spectator's handwriting is turned over. The magician's piece of paper is also turned over and the magician has named the card correctly. |

Silver Retriever Eric Mason OUT OF STOCK! New Delivery Expected Soon The late Eric Mason used this effect and established it as one of his most solid reputation makers! Long unavailable due to the technical demands and quality manufacturing standards, we have now found a craftsman capable of producing a limited edition of this outstanding effect! At any time, and we mean ANY TIME during the act, the performer borrows a burning cigarette, which he asks the owner to sign or mark with a ballpoint pen. The cigarette, while still burning, is placed in the performer's hand and instantly vanishes! After some comedy byplay about cigarette smoking being unhealthy and the performer obviously doing the lender a favour, the magician points some distance away to a bottle inside which rests a beautiful Silver tube. The spectator is asked retrieve the bottle and hand it to the performer. The Silver tube is tipped out and attention is drawn to a fine hairline crack around its centre. The spectator is asked to unscrew the tube -- this takes some time, and when the tube is eventually opened, he finds inside and removes his own signed cigarette! Everything may be examined! If you prefer not to use a cigarette the effect may be performed using a signed and rolled up bank note such as a £5 note or a dollar bill. We only have a
few of these beautifully crafted effects available. Comes complete
with the Silver Retriever, secret gimmick, and fully detailed
manuscript written by Martin Breese. Hurry and get yours today and
avoid disappointment. |

The
Master Key Terri Rogers This is probably the finest book test using special books that has ever been released. Basically the audience has a free choice of one of three books. They can look anywhere on any page in any of these books and remember any word they wish as long as it is at least five letters long. Thereafter the magician close up or from a distance (even by phone and on the radio if required) can spell out the letters of the word, letter by letter. Kreskin and Paul Daniels and countless other world-rated top magicians use The MasterKey. More than one mind-reading routine can be performed using these special books which can be freely examined. Hundreds of sets of The MasterKey have been sold and every purchaser raves about this effect. For the time being the price has been reduced substantially but shortly it will be increased to at least $300. If you want to invest in The MasterKey now is the time. |

Top
of the Bill Terri Rogers Terri Rogers was one of the most creative people in magic. Top Of The Bill is one of her finest creations! It is an absolutely brilliant application of the old Magic Boomerangs. One which takes a simple puzzle and turns it into a full-blown magic routine. Show two name plates. One for Stan Laurel and one for Oliver Hardy. The name plates shrink and stretch, depending on who is on Top Of The Bill! How does this happen? Simple. The plates are long on one side and short on the other. Huh? Is this some kind of bizarre optical illusion? It would seem so until the finale in which the spectator is left holding two name-plates of completely different sizes! The routine is terrific. Lots of magic. Lots of audience participation. Perfect for trade-show workers. Just make the name plates up with different product names. Comes with the laminated name plates and Terri's complete routine. |

The
Working Performer's Sensor Envelope A Martin Breese Exclusive
The Working Performer’s Sensor Envelope is a real miracle. We are all in search of miracles and if a spectator could write a message on the back of his visiting card seal it up in an envelope and in less than ten seconds you could know exactly what was written inside the envelope – that would be a miracle. And that is exactly what you can do with The Working Performers Sensor Envelope. Nothing is added, nothing is taken away. No other props are required. This envelope uses a new principle never ever used in this way before. You will be truly astounded when you receive this effect. It has taken nearly a year of research, trial and error to achieve. I have discussed this principle in confidence with leading mentalists and not one of them had heard of this before. You will not find it mentioned or even hinted at in any book or magazine on magic. Andy Nyman said, ‘This has a million possible uses and all deadly – Fantastic.’ When you receive the envelope I guarantee that you will play around with it for hours and you will wonder at the way in which it does everything for you. Now you can perform sealed message reading acts without using one-ahead methods. Almost as soon as you pick up the envelope you know what is written inside. No sleight of hand or flaps or cuts or slits. It is just one piece of paper made into an envelope. A number of top mentalists have received early prototypes and I am certain they will be contributing routines as we go along. |

Linking
Lifesavers Colin Gilbert Stock No. - Once you purchase and perform Colin Gilbert's "Linking Lifesavers," you'll agree that it is the best close-up effect to come along in quite a while. A spectator freely selects any two genuine Lifesavers from a packet, preferably from their own packet for maximum effect. They are each signed and without leaving the sight of the spectator (no hiding under silks, etc.) they are visibly linked together. While linked, the signatures are verified and the Lifesavers tossed back and forth from hand to hand to prove they are unbroken. They are then unlinked and both handed back as souvenirs!
Absolutely
undetectable, no ready-linked Lifesavers, |
